Personal Jarvis is now Dodaios

October 2026

Personal Jarvis has a new name: Dodaios. It is the same project, built by the same team. Only the name and the addresses changed.

What changed

  • The name. Personal Jarvis is now Dodaios.
  • The website. It is now dodaios.ai.
  • The source code. It is now at github.com/Dodaios/Dodaios. Links to the old repository on GitHub redirect there.
  • The logo. It is now a small hooded figure.

What did not change

  • The app and what it does.
  • The licence. Dodaios is free and open source under the Apache License 2.0.
  • Your settings, API keys and data. They stay on your computer, where they were.
  • A few names you type or see on your disk. The command is still jarvis, the settings file is still jarvis.toml, the Python package is still personal-jarvis, and the installer files still start with PersonalJarvis. They all work as they are.

If you already have it installed: update once

Versions up to and including 3.1.1 ask for updates at the repository's old address. Since the move that address only answers with a pointer to the new one, which those versions do not follow, so the app will not offer you an update by itself. Update once by hand, in one of two ways. Your settings, API keys and data stay.

Run the install command again

The installer notices the existing installation and updates it in place.

macOS and Linux, in a terminal:

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Dodaios/Dodaios/main/install/install.sh | bash

Windows, in PowerShell:

irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Dodaios/Dodaios/main/install/install.ps1 | iex

Or download a newer installer

If you installed the desktop app from a download, get the installer for your system from the release page and install it. It has to be a release newer than 3.1.1, because that version itself still looks at the old address.

Questions

If something does not work after the update, open an issue in the repository or ask on Discord.
